Cultural Competency Training

Under Nevada Revised Statute 449.103, all PCA’s at all personal care agencies must complete a State approved Cultural Competency Training within 90 days of hire and every 2 years ongoing.
After reviewing your personnel file here at AC Personal Care, we do not have record of a State approved Cultural Competency Training.
Cultural Competency Training is a condition of your employment with AC Personal Care.
We are hereby notifying you that you have 30 days from the date of this letter to provide us with a certificate from a State approved Cultural Competency Training.
If you have not already completed this training or if you need to take it again to renew, the instructions on how to do so via FlexEd are below:
- Visit https://www.flexed.com/register.php and create a profile
- Select Other for “Hospital/Facility Affiliation”
- Type “AC Personal Care” in the field for “Hospital Affiliation”
- Take the course titled “Cultural Competency and Health Care Self Study Module” under the “Self Study Modules” menu item.
The cost for this training is $20 and will need to be paid by you at the end to receive the certificate.
You may use one of the following methods to get your certificate to us:
- Bring it into the office during business hours
- Email it to acpersonalcare@outlook.com
- Fax it to (725) 204-4714
If we do not receive proof that you have met this requirement within 30 days, you will be unable to work.
